Hey friends,
Most of you that are familiar with Amazon KDP have probably heard the term “blank journals” way too much.
To be honest, I’m quite tired of it too.
Although some of the blank journals that I uploaded months and months ago still sell once in a while, I rarely ever create any new ones. (And not because it’s saturated)
In this post, I’m going to show you 5 books you can create TODAY, and in many cases, for FREE. By the time you get done reading this, you can upload these books to the Amazon marketplace within ~30 minutes of creating.
Before we get started, I want to let you in on a little secret.
All of the books that I mention below, can be made with BookBolt - a really awesome tool for KDP sellers. And you don’t even need to pay for it. These are all available for FREE on their website here.
Let’s dive in!
1. Mood Tracker Journal
These books are really simple to create. Plus they sell.
People, especially teenagers/young adults, are always looking to track how their days went and keep tabs on their mental health on a day-to-day basis. Make the cover look snazzy and you can easily sell to this audience.
Just be sure to do keyword research before uploading!
2. Fishing Log Book
Fishing is a hobby that many people are passionate about, especially now with the summer weather, many people will be out fishing soon. One of the keys to KDP is to target these niches that people are passionate about, that’s where you will make money.
Plus, when I typed “fishing log book” into the Amazon search bar, 1,000 results came up. Get in this niche now!
But seriously, this book looks super simple to create. I’m sure the person that published it found an interior from BookBolt or somewhere similar and created the cover easily in Canva. And with over 600 reviews it looks like it sells like hotcakes.
Don’t tell me you can’t do that!
3. Mileage Log Book
Log books of all kinds have been hot sellers on Amazon for a while now. People who drive trucks for work or for their business need a way to easily keep track of how much they drive for tax purposes.
This particular book is even a best seller on Amazon, yet look how simple it is! Again, like all of these, the cover was probably made in Canva and the interior looks like it could be from BookBolt.
This book was most likely created for FREE.
You can easily replicate the simplicity and success of this book.
4. Gratitude Journal
In this day and age, gratitude is something we all need to practice. A good gratitude journal makes it easy to keep that habit each day.
If you’re interested in selling gratitude journals, I would say niche down because a lot of people sell these too.
For the cover, you can get creative. You can go minimalist, florally (like the one in the image above), or make it kids themed.
You could even create this interior yourself if you wanted to. But there is a free one available at BookBolt. (Or, if you’re interested, I sell a KDP interior bundle with a gratitude journal interior included!)
5. Wedding Guest List Planner
With summer around the corner and Covid being basically gone, a lot of people are having weddings again. I personally haven’t gotten married yet but I can only assume that planning for a wedding is crazy!
This book looks super simple to create and the free interior from BookBolt will work well. Be sure to niche down though. For example, maybe make a “beach wedding guest list book” or “mountain wedding guest list book”, etc.
Start selling this one NOW!
